Amanda DiMeo

Director of Economic Development

With more than 20 years in local government, Amanda is passionate about supporting Staunton’s economic growth and community vitality. Her career began through a high school mentorship program, an experience that sparked her love for public service and shaped her commitment to collaboration, transparency, and meaningful community impact.

Over the years, Amanda has developed expertise in business retention, real estate development negotiations, Enterprise Zone incentives, strategic communications, and stakeholder engagement. She has led marketing initiatives, delivered presentations to diverse audiences, and represented the City on regional and state boards focused on economic and workforce development.

A graduate of Mary Baldwin University, Amanda has also completed leadership programs through the University of Virginia and Virginia Tech. She remains dedicated to fostering opportunity, strengthening partnerships, and serving her community with purpose and integrity.

Jessica Blythe

Assistant Director of Economic Development

Jessica Blythe is a dedicated and hardworking team player. She is well-versed in strategic goal setting and executive communications, making her a phenomenal partner for businesses throughout Staunton.

Growing up with a mother who owned several small businesses and having worked in the private sector, Jessica brings unique insight into the challenges and opportunities facing entrepreneurs and established businesses alike. This perspective informs her approach to business attraction, retention, and site selection.

Jessica is a graduate of the Virginia Rural Leadership Institute (VRLI), where she developed resources for Local Zone Administrators managing Enterprise Zone amendments across Virginia. She holds both a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from James Madison University, as well as a Marketing Certification from The University of Virginia.

Administrative Assistant

Kim has provided critical organizational support to the City of Staunton for more than 20 years. She provides great insight and connections for local businesses as she also serves on the City of Staunton Tourism Team.
