An Opportunity Fund is a corporation or partnership specifically structured to invest at least 90% of its capital into projects within the Opportunity Zone, enabling investors who roll their realized capital gains (from assets like stocks or real estate) into the fund within 180 days to receive substantial preferential tax treatment, with the greatest benefits reserved for long-term investments.
